Excellent condition, never overclocked, uprading to dual core, all you
need to add is a monitor..... I was about to list the parts for sale on
ebay/overclockers.com.au but I thought I'd give it a go as a complete
system first;

Antec Grey Midi Tower case + Antec 300w PSU (CSXSLK2650)

ASUS P4P800 Deluxe Motherboard (865 Chipset, 800/533/400 FSB, Gig Lan,
Dual Channel, Socket 478, Firewire, 6.1 Sound, 8 x USB, WIFI b, SATA,
manuals, software etc )

1gb DDR PC3200 Kingmax RAM ( 2 x 512mb )

P4 2.8C Northwood CPU, Hyperthreaded 800mhz FSB

LG 4163 Dual Layer 16x DVD Burner

1.44mb Floppy

Geforce 4 MX4000 64mb AGP 8x Video + TV OUT

1 x 120gb Seagate 7200rpm IDE Hard Drives

Multimedia USB Keboard and Microsoft USB Optical Mouse

This is still a very fast PC, good enough for almost all tasks, except
maybe HIGH-END gaming, which would be remidied with a faster video card.

No Operating system, unless you want linux, fedora, ubuntu, SUSE 10 or
Centos installed.

$650 Pickup in Brisbane.

Drop me a line if interested. (remove the second .au from the address if
replying)

You're not likely to get that on Usenet groups considering the price and
specs of new systems with XP and new monitor. Check the netplus
advertised systems to see what I mean.

I'm going to die rather sooner than I'd like. I tried to protect my

hospital following this resulted in a serious illness. I now need a bone

transplant, too. Please volunteer to be a marrow donor:

Maybe, like I said, I'm more than likley going to sell the bits on ebay,
the CPU's alone can go for $200.

Cheers.

Especially if you have the original packaging! People bid at least 10
percent more if you photograph the item in or with its original
packaging and list a reasonable set fee for shipping.

The system, on Usenet, would probably get offers around $450 +/- $50.
I'm only offering this opinion up because it may be that auctioning the
CPU and other components separately results in some selling for
reasonble prices and others selling for $1 or not at all, so by selling
separately you may end up with less than $450 and a bunch of components
that you can't get rid of, even though you get $200 for the CPU.

Thanks for the offer...

You can have it "NOW" for $435 specced as follows (my guestimates in
brackets after each component);

512mb RAM ($60 2nd hand)
DVD ROM ($10 2nd hand)
CPU + MOBO ($195 2nd hand)
No-name case and PSU instead of the Antec ones. ($50 new)
80gb HD ($75 new)
VGA Card ($30 2nd hand)
Keyboard + Mouse ($10 2nd hand)
Floppy Drive ($5 2nd hand)

Or if you want to pay $575, you can get it with
extra 512mb ram ($60 2nd hand)
antec case with PSU ($40 more expensive than no-name, 2nd hand)
120gb hdd ($10 extra, 2nd hand)
LG DVD Burner ($30 more expensive than DVD ROM, 2nd hand)

;-)

Bards.
I am actually only interested in the CPU
I dont like those motherboards because they make it difficult to bounce
nortons ghost from windows to dos and back to windows (with the bios
enhanced mode setting) any board with an award/phoenix bios is better

So what will (1) your CPU cost me
what will (2) your CPU and board cost me
